locked lug nut????

Default locked lug nut????

hey everyone... i just noticed that on my car the previous owner had them wheel lock things on the lug nuts...i called him but he said he lost the key.... is there anyway i can get em off??? like do they say a universial key for the lugnut or am i gonna have to think of some way to take it off???? thanks

If you take the car to a tire shop they can usually get em off, but the nut will be destroyed. You can also try hammering a socket into the slot and using a ratchet drive to get it off.

Snap-on, Mac tools has a remover, it's like 50-80 bucks. Works fast and you can use it again if need be.

Pounding craftsman sockets seems to work but takes more effort...

That will remove it easy and fast, Believe me when you work at the dealer and you have tons on used cars that get traded in without keys it pays for itself fast..
