Default tranny problems NEED HELP

hello guys i have a few questions i have a 93 dx with a first gen b16a swap, i kept the cable tranny and did the hasport conversion kit to make the clutch work i finished up the swap 3 weeks ago and now when i put the car in 5th gear it drives for about a thenth of a mile and it will pop out of gear, i tried to see if it would stay if i held it there but that was a no go so i guess im wondering if you guys have any ideas as to why 5th gear isnt working.....i think its something with the conversion bracket but if any of you guys are fimiliar or have any input i would greatly appreciate it

I have the exact same swap, and the mount bracket and hydro conversion would have nothing to do with your fifth gear popping out...sounds like you got a tranny/synchro

Easy? Not really. New tranny might be easier, working inside those things is waaay out of most people's league (mine included).

If you have a spare car, I'd just have it bebuilt. One of those things I COULD do, but it's a pain in the bootay. Another thing to try would be overfilling your tranny. Sometimes that will keep the proper lube on the gears, and takes care of the problems as a temporary fix. If nothing else, get an ls tranny, and get this one fixed when you have time and money.

how much do you think it would cost to get it rebuilt? i do have a spare car and i think that might be the only way to do it since im moving up to st cloud next week and dont really have the time to do it myself, but you think overfilling it with tranny fliud would fix it temporarily?
