Default 94 civic hood wont open

OK Guys im new to the board and already i need ur help.. my buds got a 94 ex coupe.. and the hood wont open.... as u know for that body stile the hood extends over the latch. How do i get this thing open??? I tried to take the bumper off that was unsuccessful... because of the few clips under the hood. I tired to pull the cable that didnt work. I think the latch is just jammed... does anyone know how to pop this hood? please help.
Thanks
Dom

anyways man, try having one person jerking the cable and someone else wiggling the hood and pulling up. maybe spray some wd-40 in there.

So he has a clue what's going on if the thread gets locked. I've been around HAN a lot longer then you have, and I can tell you this thread probably won't last very long.

I don't help people break into cars. A random guy asking how to jimmy open a hood in his first post is not a good sign, kinda like the people who ask how to hotwire a car because they got "locked out" of "their car."

he makes a good point. Anyhow why do you need to get the hood open, if you can drive to a local mechanics shop, they can tell you. I am with kai, I dont like telling people how to break into a car. If the lever pulls up, then try and grab the wire that goes through the firewall under the dash. you will have to take the plastic off where the lever is to get to it if you have to. May be a broken wire(which never happens).

Ok people for the billionth time its not to break in a car.... i say girl.. cause shes a good friend.. of mine... why the hell would i have keys... and the time to get into an engine bay... to try and unlock it for her.... they Mechanics are the ones who caused this problem in the first place... she originally took it to get an oil change.. when i was at school and they pushed the spring back on the hood because it wouldnt close.... now she wants to recharge her a/c and she cant.... if u want to know the full story.... but since everyone thinks i want to steal the car.... thats the truth. Any how for all u peoples reference.. u dont need to get into an engine bay of an ex for it to start......thats another thing u shall find out on ur first bseries swap. But thanks for those who tried... to help..
