whats wrong with building a car to beat another car? Its just a little friendly competition...hell thats what made my car faster. A friend of mine got himself a B18C swap. of course he was spankin me at the tracks. So i saved up a little and got myself an B18B with a T3/T4 turbo setup. now im beating him at the tracks. Hes working on a turbo kit and like hondata for his car now. while im still paying off my ls/turbo setup so hes going to be faster than me soon. Not for long though....anyways my point is. How is it the wrong reason to build a car to beat out another car?

bullshit, I'm sorry I like to go fast at the tracks and was raised around fast cars. Sorry but my little d15 was crap it got yanked for a z6 and boosted. I want a fast, affordable, and cost efficient car bottom line. The fact that I can beat a bolton swapped car is just a bonus.

see thats what Im talking about. you built the car for your self. I did the same I enjoy a quick car and I like to do my own work, which is why I built mine. I didnt set out saying "yeah Im going to swap and turbo this car then Ill be able to show all the ricers arround whats up." I can go to the track If i really want to know what I can do. Mabe its just me but I think if youre not building the car for yourself then its not worth building the car.

And amazingly I absolutely agree, I hate posers that come on here saying what swap should I get what should I do to my car. I researched and read on here what I wanted to do I had the basics down but I was asking specific questions about what I had already decided to do.

Correct me if I'm wrong but this "poser" didn't see another thread discussing the advantages and disadvantages of an engine swap vs a turbo kit on a Civic EX. If I had, maybe I would have "researched and read" about it myself, as you suggested. Also, if you hate "posers" and the unspecific car questions they ask, why waste time responding to their threads? Unless of course you have NOTHING better to do. Get a girlfriend buddy.

hey now dont take this too far. If theres one thing about online car forums its that some questions get asked over and over again. No need to take these things to heart like that. Its just lots of us have answered these questions alot and it does get tiring sometimes. But seriously though the only one whos going to make your decision is you. you may not have known before but you know now. theres lots of good info oh here reguarding said subject. so let all relax and let you get to those threads. If you have a more specific question about either choice you decide to make Im sure youll find youre questions more warmly welcomed.

I married ass and I have a kid h: it's just that there is two threads on here right now discussing the same damn thing and it has been covered so much that it is pathetic. Sorry just gets really annoying after like the 100th time this question is asked.

Meanwhile I have my turbo on my SOHC and I will beat your swapped bolton civic all day long.

I agree with everything you said but what I was saying is that if he has plans on building it up and what not I'd probably want to start with the B series rather than the D series.........maybe I haven't seen enough fast turbo D series cars. All the turbo D series civics I see get whooped up on pretty good.........what other mods do you got on your car?
