I'm going to be removing the A/C (condenser), fan, and what nots. Any hints you would like to give before I start?
Thanks!
Mike
Thanks!

i was reading some previous posts on this...
drain the system (please have some shop do this...yay ozone!)
remove lines starting at the firewall all the way to the condenser.
remove the condensor and all wires
remove the belt
remove evaporator from behind the glovebox and replace it with a block off plate from a non-a/c car
that should be it. it should all be straight forward once the system is drained.
i remember at hondafest last august you told me to turn on the a/c during my last run because i'd get some better control from it with the engine slightly less-powered.
good luck with it

Is this for your auto-x car? You have something else to drive every day, right? If so, remove the heater core, AC coil, bloser fan, and ventalation system entirely. If my memory serves me correctly, the AC stuff altogether doesn't really weigh that much, but if you've already upgraded your radiator, you can do without the heater core's liquid volume and the rest of what's behind the dash. Just run a hose from the inlet to the outlet where the heater hoses go on the motor, and lose all that liquid weight. No point in leaving the airbags in there, either.
If you intend to keep the car street legal, I really wouldn't suggest going that far, because every street driven car really has to have heat. You have to be able to defrost your windows. But I THINK there's no law on the streets saying that your car has to have working air vents... At least not where I live. Might be against some rules for racing classes, though.

But I'm thinking of going to the Underdrive crank pulley. Crank pulleys are legal for my class

Man, there's no point in tearing out all the non-safety related dash stuff if you're leaving the power steering in place and you don't have to. There's just as much weight to lose right there. I assumed you didn't have it already.

i found the biggest pita was removing the lines that go in front of the radiator under the support. These were a bitch to get out. It would help to undo the upper radiator mount and lean the top of the radiator back towards the motor. Also, the lines that go under the battery are a bitch unless you remove the battery tray.
all in all (including the conderser, compressor, evap core, dryer, fans, bolts, brackets, lines, doodads, thingamajigs) it weighed in at 38lbs.
