my exhaust is a hack-job pieced together from an integra exhuast... its about as ghetto as they come.

OT, but this thread made me think of it... I've never failed tech inspection, but I get laughed at by the inspectors just about every time

Well I found out why some of my friends are catching up to me autocrossing.

Cylinder 4 lost compression and two of my valves were WAY out of spec. Car felt great this weekend and I've caught up to people

Maybe a stupid ?, but would your lash being out of spec cause your compression loss? Or is it a cylinder wall/piston ring wear problem only?

you can lose compression if the valves aren't seated right... the air pressure just escapes into the head rather than the crank case.
