Ok, this is the problem, I hear a strong hollow metallic rattle from the area of the end of the exhaust system when idling, once I rev up it stops.
This happens only occasionally, like after a 20 min drive (maybe then the RPM when idling goes down…?).

I’ve had a mechanic look at it and he can’t find anything, the exhaust system look good, is not rusted and it’s NOT the heat shields because they are either off or attached well in place.
Its really annoying, any ideas?

Is it the muffler itself? Mine rattles like crazy at certain rpm's

eh mine does a rattle at 1500 too
