is there a difference between the programming of a p05 and a p06 ecu?

It's mostly in the fuel curves. The CX only has an 8 valve engine, so it has a smaller intake air/fuel charge and corresponding less agressive fuel mapping.

Yeah the ECU are very different. When i swaped a 16 V head on my CX block i was running the CX(P05) and it ran like crap b/c of the different fuel curves.

so the p05 came with the 16 valve head, and the p06 with the 8 valve head?
