but now im putting in a d16z6 this weekend complete swap for $400.00 everything except ecu. so i thought that this is a good deal.

Good choice and a good D motor. Make sure you do timing belt and water pump, as well as thermostat. Also might as well change cap, rotor, plugs, and wires while it is going in.

The JDM D15B is basically a stroked z6.

It has the stronger internals similar to that of the d16, just less the displacement because of the slight stroke to it. I am currently running one turbo'ed and its a great motor.

Also. The parts are no problem. I use my z6 distributor, my z6 intake manifold, and everything is a perfect match. I chose it over a used z6 because it was 80 bucks cheaper and had about 100K miles less on it.

YEAH THE MILES IS WHAT BOTHERED ME BUT FOR 80,000 on the z6 ill just have to do the extensive tune up and hope for the best. im gonna try and baby this motor as much as i can.oh yeah i keep forgetting your from portland. what ya think of this shitty weather.not like its anything new but from going to a bad ass easter weekend to this, is just crap.. i hope they open PIR this weekend. anyway thinks for the input fook... and just for the record are you a member of NWstreetracing.com?

i picked mine up at auto adventure on clay for 500 even.

yeah im on nwsr, but im not really a street racer, i prefer the track.

yeah its all good i usually go on there to get parts and yeah i know TOM at auto adventure and they wanted a little under $1,000 for the entire JDM D15 swap. and thats with his discount.

yeah i think they go a little overboard on their tranny prices.

I just got the motor, not the entire swap.

And they never have any 5 speed starters!

yeah they sell really fast. and yeah just for an LS tranny they wanted almost $800.00...way to much for my wallet and it even had like 90,000 MI on it.
