I bought a D15B Dual vtec for $300. Have'nt had a problem yet and that motor gets beat on from start to stop. So if I where to recommend it for the long hall then D15B will be great. But as far as power I can only help you with DOHC. The D15B is the beater Rider. HEHE

look man the z6 came in an American Civic it is .1 liters bigger it has 5 less ponies, you can get a p28 ecu way way cheaper than that and then run a y8 tranny. I think you could do all of that with a clutch, timing belt, thermostat, and water pump for around 800 no problem. I just don't see the point of going d15b. I mean sure you get a little more horspower but not enough to justify not getting the right engine and ecu. This is just my opinion though.

point taken and noted. I appreciate what u have said and will see if i can't rearrange my order to that setup.....you see this is the type of input i was asking for in the begining. and i will ask if this is the dual stage vtec motor. and i will also be posting pics of my older blown motor just to let you guys see the damge. just as soon as my buddy sends me the pics .

I hope you aren't confusing the D15B with the SOHC VTEC ZC, they are two different engines with two different blocks.
