Default when turning...

Hey all well my car is really really slammed or dumped which ever, it's a 98 any how when i turn the steering wheel all the way i here a squeal or some kinda noise, is it the cv boot? or joint? if so do you know how much that ranges to get fixed?

CV joints click when they go bad i dont think they squeal but maybe. Look under your car and see if your boot/s are ripped. $60 for a remanufactured cv shaft. Don't know what a reboot kit cost probably 25-30.

Means power steering pump is prolly going bad. Go to a shop, get them to look at your power steering pump, cv axles/boots. It's more than likely one of those. Good luck!

could be just the power steering belt catching...happened after my swap, and had the same exact problem you describe.

if ur cars lowered it could be the wheeling biteing the plastic wheel well cover. i had the problem and could figure it out so i took out the cover and no more squeek or bite

check your power steering belt/fluid level

MAybe your power steering pump is about to go.
When you turn the wheel its pumping fluid to lubricate the turning parts ( forgot name.....drunk right now ) IF not alot of fluid is being circulated around the joints, hinges etc... it will make a grinding noise.

Similar to two pieces of metal being rubbed against each other without some lubricate in between to limit friction.



or your cv joints could be bad.
