Default VTEC Del Sol?

I've been searching all over the internet for a little while and i can't find a vtec engine that will fit a 96 del sol, The del sol i was gonna buy has somewhere around 129k miles on it and i was going to upgrade the motor and transmission. I was gonna go VTEC but i can't seem to find a VTEC engine and a transmission. Can anyone help?

Any Integra model should fit right in seeing as it is a civic. You should have no problem with any D or B series.

VTEC in the sol is essentially the B16A
Si is the D16Z6

find those two and you are pretty much at stock. But just an FYI, any B-series engine (B16, B18, B20) along with D-series engine with hydraulic tranny will pretty much bolt into the del sol chasis (as all of the other civic chasis). Hope this helps... Dont go looking for "Del Sol VTEC engine" people will end up ripping you off... and half the time some people dont even know that the B16A came in the del sol 94-97. Just look for the B16A3 if u want an "original" stock engine in the del sol (i think 94-95 or something), but if u dont care get any d-series or b-series engine.

More specifically, 94+ integras. You get into hairy motor mount and cable tranny issues on pre-'94 cars, but they'll still work, and affordably, if you possess some ingenuity.

Del Sol is pretty much a EG Civic. Almost the same car.
94+ Integra engines will fit.

I'd go for an h22a swap, it'll be pricey but the pay off will be the best imo.
