Default Terrible ride

Ok, Noob question here, but I have been wondering this for a while and you all are great at helping out, so here it goes... I have fully adjustable Coil overs, and I bought the car with them on (95 civic DX) so im not 100% sure of the brand.... but to make a long story short, my ride is terrible, i feel every bump and pothole, the car is lowered probobly around 2 inches, I know you sacrifice a ton of ride comfort when the car is lowered, but will gas shocks help this out significantly or am i waisting my time? thanks

the mear fact that the car is lowered has nothing to do with the ride quality.

i would say it's either, the spring rate, the shock valving (setting), and the stiffness of the sidewall (tire).

spring rate, there isn't much you can do about unless you know who makes a compatible one and you know what rate you currently have.

shock valving there isn't much you can do about either unless it's adjustable, in which case you can make it softer.

lastly the tire stiffness you have some control over by lowering the tire pressure a pound or two but not too much as you might damage your wheel/tires if you hit a pot hole

do you know what kind of shocks you have? If they're stock, they're likely blown or on their way out, which would make for a bouncy ride.

I would suggest some new Struts....also if they are no name coilovers I would get rid of them cause they are prob. garbage springs and rates.
