It seems like you are frowning upon posts that deal with humor, trying to get people to laugh type thing, that have no technical value. I think that is the reason I stayed here in the first place- the reason why, after browsing a few other forums, this one stuck.

I don't believe that's a fair assesment. We aren't no laughing allowed nazi's. You can still have humor and tech rolled into one. I don't feel anything we've done is really taking away from the homely feeling that is present at HAN. We're applying the rules more consistently than before, perhaps the impression is coming across as "no joking around." If you wanna come on just BS for awhile, and not talk about cars all the time, that's what the basement is for.

my only gripe is all the car pics in one section....

i see the title "check out my new rims" click on it.. wait to load and its some lame ass accord (not that i have an issue with accords or anything) and its just like eh.. i feel like i waste time checking shit out in that forum, by looking at cars i have no real interest in...

lets face it honda tech have probably the most strict posting guidlines when it comes to posting.. but they still allow car pics to sit for a few days before moving them to appearance..

but you know what.. it really doesn't matter.. because i do not own or pay for the site.. i TOTALY respect the choice to do whatever, because im not footing the bill...
i wont threaten to leave or anything ghey like that.. but i WILL voice my opinion about changes i dont like.... not with the idea of changing them ( i know im not that important ) lol

I am just stating as to how it comes off to me. Seems like with all this going on the amount of humor has gone down dramatically, and a more serious/strict board has came into place.

As for this statement-

That is not what I'm trying to get at at all. I completely agree with this statement, but I was not referring to complete posts unrelated to cars, filled with BS. I was talking about one or two posts in the middle of a thread that give some sort of comic relief, and do not have any technical value. This is what seems to be frowned upon.

I don't see how you can feel as if there has been no change in the "homely feeling" of this board- I think this post in itself shows a change in this- before these changes, this post would not be what it is now, and there would not be people leaving/threatening to leave. I am just stating this for the time being though. I'm not saying that these changes were not for any good, once everyone starts getting used to them this board may become far better than what it once was.... but for now I think the situation is reversed.

right you hit it right on the head....

no one wants EVERY post someone makes to be "its header not headers you dumb ass" i agree that depleets the quality of the board... but occasional ribbing of a silly noob who wants "headers on his 92 dx that has vtec lights on it that light up inside hsi euro tails.. etc.. etc.." is down right fun... but im not even sure han is saying NOT to do that.. to be quite honest.. im not even too sure what TOS says.. ive never read it.. and to be honest. i wont.. because that would be taking something that is supposed to be fun and informative and making it WAY too serious.. i go back to my original statement.. its JUST a message board.. one that i TOTALY respect.. YES.. but more than that.. NO..

I'm actually on the way out to get lunch, but please don't turn this into a "I'm upset because of the changes so I'm leaving type of deals." The changes are a good thing, I think you'll agree in the long run.

If this threads heads in the direction of "i'm leaving cause of the changes" I will lock the thread down.

That does not mean you can't voice your opinion, I just rather have you guys PM me about it instead of creating a thread about it. I can handle you guys one at a time, not all at once :-p

As for the ITR guys? Last time I checked Daniel was the owner and webmaster of h-a.net.

Anything I can help some of you out with? Just ask.

As for the ITR guys, I am the owner and webmaster of HAN. I have two additional administrators that I have brought on to help me with some needed work that HAN requireth, both now and in the future.

Next question?

Good luck with everything

I definitely don't forsee myself leaving because of changes to the board. I don't fully understand why some people left, but I guess they had their reasons. I came to this board looking for help and information, and I'm sticking around until this board is no longer able to answer my questions, either from something about the layout or rules, or due to lack of members; and like I said, I do not see this happening.

I'm not trying to fuel this "I'm leaving because...", I'm just putting in my opinion.

And I'm PM'ing you bumnah.

They don't adapt to change.

This will never happen!

Glad to have you along!
