Default tranny ?

I have a faint raddle that sounds like it's coming from the tranny. It happens in reverse and when I downshift from 3-2. It also happens in first if I run the car to around 20-25mph and let it coast back down.

I just bought 2 qrts of Honda tranny fluid and hopefully this remedy the sound?

Any suggestions

Don't have any...complete exhaust overhaul...headers and catback.
Maybe my cat-convert?

Have someone rev the car whil you are outside listening. Helped me find my rattles. Is all the nasty cheap shielding under the car gone?

No, it sounds likes it coming straight from the tranny. I had my friend drive it while I was in the passenger side and put my ear right over the shift knob. I can't really describe the sound. It has rattling/grinding/sounds like metal hitting metal sound??? best I can do. I let my clutch out real slow when I am backing up and the sound comes from another location like my clutch-flywheel location, if that makes any sense....I fwacking pissed!

Check to see if the shift stabilizer bar is touching the bottom of the car. I had a rattling noise and that's what it was. I got a piece of radiator hose and cut it to fit around the section that was rattling and then zip tied it. I haven't had a problem since.

Just to know, why would the stabilizer bar be touching the bottom of the car? Is that normal wear and tear?

I also purchased a energy suspensions polyurethane bushing kit, maybe this will help.
Another weekend job..

Well I put in the kit and the noise is still there but I found the culprit....it's the sensor on the cat (is that the 02 sensor?) hitting the shift stabilizer bar.
ImportRacer I'm gonna try your 'quick-fix' and see what happens.
