Default Valve cover Bolts??

Hi. I got a new powdercoated valve cover but there are no bolts with it. So I took off my old cover to use the bolts but they are attached to it? How do you take them out? They have little washer type things attached to them. This is for a d16z6. Thanks alot.

You don't need the bolts... you just use the rubber washers on the top of the valve cover and the acorn nuts.

You just take the nuts off your old valve cover. remove the rubber washers. remove the valve cover. lay the new valve cover on and repeat in reverse. I'm 90% sure the 6th gens were the ones that started using full bolts instead of acorn nuts. h:

Most of the time u can reuse ur stock bolts but the prob is that sometimes they dont seal very well. If u go to the part store they sell the little rubber gaskets that og over the bolts. Just cut off the old one and put the new ones one. The new ones will be softer than the old ones. and the slip over the bolts. They are called the Grommets
WCS: you are talking about the CX DX head. they had the Acorn nuts. The VX and EX/SI had bolts. HIH.

the part u need is #20
