yeah, the techs around here often rely on hunches more than the book. Anyway, unless I'm winning, nobody cares, so I don't really have to worry about it.

Well it's in the book so it's legal

Actually, I misread this. Someone else posted that they replaced their battery, not Spood. I thought he had already replaced his battery and was still having problems. My bad. That's why I gave that advice. It is cold as balls in MN.

Die Hard's do suck, IMO. In '91, I had one in my Toyota truck, and when I bought that battery, the first 2 die hard Gold's they pulled off the shelf were DOA, the third one worked, and it died a horrible death about a year and a half later. I was pissed because SEARS charged me $152 for that battery, and when I went back to claim on that 5-year warranty, their warranty only knocked $20 off a new battery.

That's when I started using Interstate. That Interstate battery was still in my truck in '97 when I rear-ended a Volvo and totaled it. I had a 430w system with an active crossover, 10 disc changer, 3 amplifiers and a radar detector. That battery got a serious work-out, but was extremely heavy.
