Default battery or alternator?

These past few days my car has sounded like shit when it starts.....like when i go to start it, it sounds like my battery is almost dead and barely kicks over. It runs fine, until i turn on A/C. When i left my house today, i had radio going and wipers and lights on. When i came to stop i noticed my tach surging from 1000rpm-0.....my head unit went off, my wipers slowed down and headlights dimmed....but the car was still running good. When i turned the A/C off head unit kicked back in and so did everything else. I'm not sure if the alternator is not chargin up battery or if battery almost dead. I only had battery for year. any input would be nice:thumbup:

sounds like both to me, go to autozone or checker to get the battery tested, they usually test the alternator too

That is your alternator. It doesn't like starting now because it's not charging your battery and funky stuff happens when it's running because it isn't supplying enough power to run it all.

I'd say more alt than battery, but it might be both.

you only use your batter when you start your car. If the alt isn't charging your battery when you're driving, that'll make it hard to start.

AutoZone is pretty good about that kind of stuff and the test is free.

hih

don't know if it's the same for the D15B7 and I may have changed the connector out of it...

You pay shipping and you can use it till you can get a new one.. PM me if you need it.
