Default RWD civic

I have a 98 hatch. D16y7. I was thinking of taking the engine and front axle and moving to the hatch making it rwd... Not quite sure jus how much work itll be. any tips would be great.

i dont think u could really get any tips. im not sure if it has ever been done or even tried, but it would be pretty wild.

i saw it on a hatch on some site.....it was all show card out.....it had the s2000 engine and rear wheel drive

it would be smarter to just get a RWD car.

I have a reccommendation.

Firewall. Thick firewall.

Fuel cell. You'll have to move your gas tank to the front of the car for safety reasons.

And if you want a fast car when you're done, then use a Cadillac Northstar V8. I'm pretty sure it would fit. It fits in a Fiero without overheating. You'll already have to make custom everything to make anything fit, why not go big? I bet that sucker would run 9's and be hella-fun in burnout competitions.

if you were going to go with a northstar, which i'm pretty sure is a 296, you might as well go with a Ford Racing 5.0....there are more parts for it

If you're going to be moving stuff around, why not make it rear or mid engine? It'll help your weight balance out a lot, and you might even be able to use some aftermarket drive components.
