i had never done anything with my suspension when i did it so i figured 3 hours is a resonable expectation for anyone who hasnt worked with their front suspension. Plus no one else is going to mention the bolt for the lower strut for and the control arm? This is a common problem and you will have a 50% chance if the car is old that the bolt will be frozen in the bushing. You can drill it out or torch the bushing and take off the arm and get a new bushing pressed in.

25 minutes! Woot! Then again, I pull engines alone in about an hour with hand tools. Damn air hoses get in the way! now a cordless impact.... hmmmm Might have to get me one of those!
That write up doesn't really mention how to get the shaft back into the tranny. I always line it up, slide it in as far as I can, then silde the other end into the hub, and swing the knuckle to slam the axle into the tranny. Works like a charm with VERY little effort, and I've NEVER seen any damage to the axles or diff.

That lower strut bolt is no match for my 700lb/ft 1/2" Impact. Yeah, I just put it in a little ways and then slam it in, it works like a charm.
