Default exhaust -2 things

94 hb si. Muffler rusted out right where the pipe meets the muffler. While trying to unbolt said unit I sheared a bolt. Understand drilling out a bolt but is there a way to go about it so i dont damage the plate and nut that are welded to the rest of the exhaust?

Secondly what is the difference between resonated and non resonated.?

Thanks

I seriously doubt it. Just get a custom setup done by a muffler shop. If it's that rusted, the rest of the piping might be compromised anyway.

The resonator is that wide part of the exhaust that looks a bit different in the rest. A resonator is really only there to quiet the exhaust.

I highly recommend keeping if not adding a longer resonator if you plan to do a custom setup. I had no resonator for a while and you could hear me coming for miles. Way too loud!
