mini me swap info needed
roughly what would be the horsepower gains if a zc sohc v-tec head was put onto a stock d-15b7 with 102bhp stock? please reply soon my buddy who wants to do the swap has only a few days before the head goes to somebody else thanks.
actually its net hp is 102 @ 5900rpm. anyway thanks for the info and ill relay the message. hopefully we can squeeze out more ponys than that. but we really want to stick to a single cam with his car.
"Why", some people may ask.
my reply, "why not".

Doesn't the D15B have higher compression?
Yes, it does. Good call!
What's the CR on the D15B7?

well in my friends situation he cant afford a complete b or h series setup cause he is like me and lives paycheck to paycheck. But what he can afford is some blood, sweat, and tears into what hes got to work with. and in my book thats all you need in any engine infatuation . i mean cmon we all had to start somewhere right (DUH)? but critisizm is always welcome thanks "KAI"

I know how expensive B series swaps can be, that's part of the reason why I defected to Rotaries. I just can't justify spending $1800 for a 180hp, 127ft-lb N/A engine when I can spend $800 on a 182hp, 183ft-lb turbo engine.
Don't worry, I don't hate D-series, I've helped a friend of mine put a 16v D15B7 head on his 8v D15B8 block in the never-ending search for horsepower on a budget. That's even less worthwhile then a D16Z6 head swap, but hell, it gave him more power.
