So, here's what I'm thinking:
if you are into drag racing. throw in an h23 motors swap. they're already closed deck. plus you'll get a huge motor for relatively cheap price. sell off your b18c1 swap and purchase an h23, you'll be set to go.
 Thanks forum95.. haha
I don't want to do another complete swap and I want to keep this thing daily driver friendly. tx has the idea...
I'll prolly just stick to the B18C1 block and bore/sleeve it.
If anyone has a lead on a block, hit me up.

WCS: I stopped by Inline yesterday, and they have a completely build B18c1 bottom end:
Bored to 83.5mm
Darton sleeves
Darton block guard
JE Pistons...9:1
Crower Rods
Hot tanked
Shot peened crank
Balanced
etc... whole 9 yards
They want $3,000 for it. They say it can handle up to 600whp just fine.
Let me know if your interested. It never been installed.

na, I have most of that stuff done already except for the sleeves and the guard. That's why I'm going to do a new block. I found one for around $200 and I'm going to grab that and go from there. I can do all my work for less than $3k.
Thanks though!

Sure...just thought youd like to know...so you have all the pistons/rods/rings etc...? What kind are you using? I'm thinking of JE pistons, Crower or Eagle rods, Darton sleeves and block guard.
Any recommendations?

Na, that's what this post was for (and it was prewhored... :chuckles: )
I'm currently running JE/SRP 9.5:1 pistons and Eagle rods. I think I may need to get some better rods, but I think they'll be ok.
I may go with some different pistons just because I'm going to be boring the cylinders out a bit so I'll need new ones. Prolly sticking with 9.5:1 CR though.
Also very much leaning toward AEBS sleeves. They're the best I can find for the time being.
Still shifty on the blockguard. I always hear conflicting reports...
The most consistant information I get about the blockguard is that if it's installed properly it works fine with cooling. I haven't had a problem with cooling even when I was running my OEM civic rad and fan. Now I have the GSR dual-core rad and FAL fan so it's twice as nice.
I plan to spend about $1500 just for the sleeving.
