My wife is the bomb. We have a unique monitary setup to where I have my own money and she has hers.

I don't care if she buys 300 pairs of shoes and she doesn't care if I build a B18C1 turbo. :chuckles:

She gets her goodies too.

Mind you, it has taken me over 4 years to get my car where it is now and I own a couple businesses on the side including selling parts.

I get dealer pricing so that helps with the $$ too.

Sounds like a good setup you have going there...of course I wouldnt know, being a sophomore in hs, but still.

The civic is your daily driver right? How do you manage to get around when theres downtime on the car because of work regarding the engine and such?

Taken to PM.

Let's get back on topic.

What do you guys think about a B20 block? Would I be able to reuse my crank/rods/pistons... all the GSR internals?

If you're going to boost that high I'd keep it at 9:1 and sleeve that beech.

I found a block on ebay for $250.

Might be getting it...

So, about that B20, any thoughts?

I'd used the 9.5's with a thicker head gasket.

tx: what brand?

It's still a daily driver, so I need good heat dissipation. 2.2 would make the cylinders too thin I think.

How hard would it be to put a GSR head on a B20? Will the GSR parts still work (crank, rods, bearings)?

Thanks!

What brand pistons? I'd use arias.

Go with a gsr block and bore it to 83.5mm. That should be good for 400-500 whp.

i think its a mad idea too do a cr/vtec conversion westcoast, you may have lots of money . But too turbo a cr/vtec engine would be verrrrrry unreliable almost like driving a DSM*hehe.Anyways im sure if you spend the absolute top dollar it would be decent reliability and have great power.I know a kid in my town that spent 60k!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!thats 60,000 dollars on a b16a2 turbo.Thats addicted i dont think westcoast spent that much there yet.The thing is he did it all in 2 weeks too, his dad owns a pizza shop and the kids buy hondas and spend a porsche into it????????????????

But ya cr/vtec= fast and unreliable
