It's not hp, it's torque. No difference in hp gain.

you are retarded. you obvioulsy dont understand the concept of a CAI so let me explain it to you. you have this thing under you hood called an engine. its the thing that makes power. underhood temperatures can get pretty hot. the engine needs air in order to work. hot air is less dense than cold air. the more dense the air is that goes into your engine the more power you can make. so a short ram is fine and dandy, although the part that lets in the air is right by this "engine". by moving the air induction part away from the hot engine, the air going into the engine will be much colder, ergo denser air, visa vi creating more power. im pretty sure a CAI will make more power than a short ram, and some even more than that depending on the design.

yea, you really need that dense cold air to free flow to the massive 1.6 liter 4 cylinder...
i have a cai, but you obviously have no idea what youre talking about

whats the difference between cold air on a 1.6 and say a 2.0? engine has same mechanics. if you dont think it helps then why do you have one? :airon:

actualy you dumb fuck.. i PERSONALY have this stuff called nitrous.. when i race it sprays into the intake (my short ram intake) and is about a BILLION times colder than your POS cai... now SERIOUSLY.. show me some HUGE numbers on YOUR car that the cai has given you over say stock.. AND a short intake..

the point is whats the MOST you could hope to gain with YOUR CAI over stock??? now how much would you lose making it short ram.. now is that worth sucking up a puddle? maybe to you it is.. but to me.. 3 hp.. OR 5 ft lbs of torque.. is NOT

insert where you tell me now that your ECONOBOX CIVIC is a TORQUE monster due to your CAI... and i will just laugh at you more...

EKHatchRacer & oc_civic

any more retards flamming i warn you both.

cai's don't really make any more hp. any hp to be gained from removing the stock filter would be from a freer flowing filter. a K&N filter in your stock airbox would probably net you the same hp gains, if any.

there really is no gain from getting cai than a short ram.

it's hard to comprehend cause we've all spent $250+ on the intake and filter, it don't do shit. it is the truth, let's just accept it.
