you can feel above 3k-4k that the car is less inhibited...where my tach seemed to slow down before and not climb as fast...now it sweeps through the entire 7k without as much trouble.

LOL any gains in hp? (so kidding.... )
$50.00 is quite a bit for just the pipe. $30.00 will buy you a pipe and filter on ebay.

Yeah I bought a generic pipe with a K&N filter. It was alright... but I wanted more for the money. So I invested in some heat resistent paint and dug up my old stock intake arm/hosing. This is the result:

$40 and a reset ECU later I got myself a cold air intake which is unbelievably awesome.

ohh wow...that is pretty G-H-E-T-T-O but more power to you!!!
im guilty of that as well...i tried bending some pipe and fixing it to the end and getting cold air but i think because the pipe wasnt mandrel bent that it restricted airflow and i actually got less power
so i took it off and just went with the pipe and filter

OHH BTW pepboys should have the filter and pipe and all neccessary hardware for 50...it shouldnt be 50 for only pipe...

Get on JC ****ney and find that manderel bent exhaust pipe and throw the filter you have on that. Why pay 50 for just a small piece of pipe?

:fawk: It might be ghetto, but I saved $180 or whatever butt-rapage they charge for a CAI these days... and you're still running a short ram intake that gives you at the most 1 hp to the wheels.

And trust me, if I made you one just like mine you wouldn't be calling it ghetto... but it's all good to each his own.
