Why is this guy always asking about the limitations of his car? "Will I hit VTEC in reverse? What's my top speed?" You scare me Ross. :nervous:

I had my civic si up to 155mph at VIR but that was propably wrong since I was running 205/50/15" tires.

what's that vlad guy talking about? I hit 140 topped out, flat out rev limiter kicking your done in my 2000 civic si. If it truely was like 127 at 140 the rader gun was wrong or the speedo had a problem.

Asking if your vtec will kick in in reverse is a scary question, lmao
Maybe with a vtec controller? ha ha

If you're driving a del sol for any reason, you must a pretty short small man. 6'5" here and I fit comfortably in my civic  my dreams of owning a del sol or a miata disappeared in the fifth grade :jerkoff:

correct, stock speedos do have a problem. its a commonly known fact that speedos show a higher speed than actual. the only real way to get your top speed is to have someone stand by the road with a radar gun as you drive past them. that's what motor trend did 4-5 years back. and yes, vtec does kick in reverse, it doesn't matter what gear you're in.

That would be an expensive way to find out your top speed, but at least they would put you up with full accomodations for at least a couple of nights.

No. It means that at 8,000 RPM you speedometer will read about 160 (that is, if it went that high).
