Default Wanna turbo my civic...help

I have a 99 Civic Ex, and after a couple years of being slow, I wanna gain a little bit of speed, maybe break into the 14s.

I know that the Greddy kit for 92-95 civics fits the EK's as well, so since I only have about 2k to spend I think Im gonna go with that. I know that the Edelbrock kit is probably better, but I really cant afford that. I can get the greddy kit for around 1400, but what else do I need to get to go along with the kit? I am going to buy an intercooler off Tyrus, or maybe ebay...should I get a shop to mandrel bend some intercooler piping for me? Also...about the bov, should I get the shop to weld whatever bov I get to the pipe they bend for me? And about fuel management...will the blue box that comes with it be enough? Anything else I need for this project? Anything you guys think I should know...please share.

Sleeper Civic EX runs the Greddy kit on stock internals with RC 440s and a VAFC. He put down a 13.9 @ 100mph at 10psi on 17" rims.

Apexi has a better turbo in their kit (ball bearing), but the Greddy is nothing to look down on.

Regardless of which kit you decide to go with, I recommend getting a Hondata. My car is proof that the Hondata setup beats the fawk out of the VAFC. I gained 30 whp in just tuning the Hondata. :boink:

I can get Greddy, Hondata, and Apexi so PM me if you need some pricing.

It would work, but the Hondata is so much more versitile. You can change your MAP sensor settings, full fuel tables, full timing tables, VTEC engagement point, redline... EVERYTHING! The blue box will work and get the turbo to run, but you can do everything with the S200B.

Not sure. Sleeper didn't dyno his car the day I went so I couldn't tell you.

I just know he makes enough to get him into the 13s on stock internals. That says enough to me. :dunno:
