Well I added up everything on that list...

1475 for the turbo kit
655 for the intercooler
185 for the bov plus maybe 25 more to get it welded on
300 for the greddy boost controller

This comes out to 2615, and I can get a Rev Hard kit for 2699, so do you think it would be smarter just to step up to that?

i heard the rev hard kit is better for bigger engines or a built d-series, because of the bigger turbo, but for the price yes i would go with it.My suggestion is go to ebay they usually will have 1 or 2 greddy kits there a month that are used and come with a fmic and bov for right around a grand or less.save some money and buy it used. just make sure all the parts look good and the person you are buying from is reputable

Greddy turbo kit off ebay is $1460 shipped
Johnnyracecar.com intercooler $230 shipped
Charge pipies made for under $200
Greddy Type S BOV $160 shipped(i personally like the Greddy or Blitz)
Autometer boost gauge $50 shipped

$2100. The greddy kit comes set at 7psi i think. No need for a boost controller right off the bad. If anything, get a Manual boost controller then get a electronic one later on. Just my .02

I call :bs: on the '99-'00 EX Greddy kit being that cheap. I can't even get them that cheap at my cost and I get a killer deal.

I agree that you don't have to run the boost controller for the time being. Just run off the solenoid. Safer that way anyway until you do some more fuel mods.

Heck, you don't HAVE to run a FMIC for the time being either. And I wouldn't run 'custom' charge piping unless you have a shop that does a killer job and mandrel bends. I have first hand experience with that...

Also, don't get a MaxRev/RevHard/DRAG kit. You will be pissed. Those turbos are too big for the 1.6L motors unless they're built a bit. A local guy runs a DRAG kit on his D16Y8 and he's so mad cause Sleeper's Greddy kit kicks his ass on the same motor. He just doesn't build enough power to spool the turbo...

Get the '99-'00 EX Greddy kit (11550050)
Greddy Type 31 FMIC (12050007)
Greddy Type S BOV (11501650) if that's what you want
And, I recommend a better boost gauge than Autometer, but you really don't need one until you get a boost controller...

I can get all of these parts at a great price. PM me if you need some more help.

We beat that price, we just don't advertise it. Why would someone want to buy a turbo kit off Ebay?? I'd rather get it off GroupBuyCenter.com so I won't get some damaged shit with no customer service. Ebay sucks for items like this.

I've heard these are pretty nice, not a bad buy. Seem a little small compared to the Greddy units and don't looks as good, either.

Uhh, they come with the kit....unless you don't get them with the Ebay deal

The Type S is weak. I had one and bought a HKS SSQ and love it. The Blitz is also nice.

On the '92-'95 kit, not on the '99-'00 kit.

And why is the Autometer boost crap? I have never heard of them being crap.. they are the main choice for DSMs because of the price and how well they work. I would say probably 90% or so of DSMs with a boost gauge use autometer.
