3-4k paintjobs should include all dents and scratches fixed, engine bay painted, along with all interior parts under the carpet. Oh, and the paint better be rare or a color that cannot be duplicated

I've heard of a 10K black paintjob. I think it was for an S10, I can't remember.

I talked to a local shop here in CT that has a very good rep when it comes to paint jobs...he said to repaint the car a different color would run me 4-5K total. I bent over and grabbed my ankles right there.

For those that got their cars painted a different color did they do the engine bay? If so did they have to yank the engine from the car? What about door jams, gas cap, etc...were they painted too? Where can you see your original factory paint, if at all?

I want to fix a lot of the dings and scratches on my car since I am buying out the lease in Jan. but I have so many the car really needs to be repainted. I have Deep Violet Pearl now, and although I love the color every little nick in the clear coat shows through which is why I want a lighter color.

Thanks guys.

black sucks unless you work at a detail shop or don't work.

find a paintless dent repair place. they can take the dents out and it may be less than having the shop take your dents out. i say prep the car yourself and then tow it to the shop and let them do the finishing touches on any dents etc and paint it
