So I checked some chart on the internet on golf club lengths and it says I don't need longer clubs since my wrists are like 35.5'' from the ground and I'm 6'5''.

Maybe you set up too straight up? Who knows. But get fitted on a lie board too. It will tell you how the bottom of the club impacts the turf...you might need an upright lie angle.
