It's all good though, we do DDR about 2 to 3 times a week, give her some cardio action. Maybe when she gets out of school and go to work, she'll work out with me more.

Glad I'm not alone. o: You're absolutely right about how they get discouraged. We have a bike path along a canal that leads to the beach. I'm going to suggest to her that we go after work and on the weekends. We'll start out going halfway and back, etc. until she can reach the beach comfortably. Heading due West, the wind beats the shit out of you, but as long as you keep moving (not matter how slow), you get pretty far.
I noticed that using pandora on my BB and blading to the beat makes the difference. Blading to the beat > blading by itself.
