I read that the Skunk2 causes the shift boot to be too short to cover the shift lever itself in certain gear positions. Any thoughts or comments on this? I like how the OEM part shifts now, I'm just wanting to make the shifts feel a little more positive. Is changing it out with a new, quality, aftermarket shifter the best option or can I keep the OEM part and just put new quality bushings in it to improve the feel?
everything will fit fine,, the shift boot isnt too small, i just wrapped electric tape around the shifter to make that section fatter and pulled the boot over it and the boot never comes down.. you can keep your oem shifter and put new bushings and should work just fine.. its really up to u, i did it on both of my cars but that is just me.
