granted the z6 pump is a stronger & better pump, that doesn't make the y8 one problematic. It's the tuning issue that causes people to believe that it's insufficient. Their timing is off and they are pounding the rods against the crank, the bearings happen to be in between the two, they get smashed, extra friction causes heat, they get abused like this long enough they spin, people hear rod knock, they tear down & see the heat problem & blame it on the pump.

Competent tuners don't have problems with the y8's.
