Actually, mobil 1 synthetic ATF cost more than Honda's ATF. The manual also states you can use dexron 3. So if I use synthetic ATF then Im not being cheap. I just feel synthetic is worlds better than HONDA non-synthetic ATF period.
the manual says you can use dex3 temporarily until you can replace it back with honda atf.
