Open the Task Manager and check the numbers on the performance tab.
in my case.... with just firefox (and my standard background stuff) running, im using...
420MB of Page file, and 480 megs of ram. (i have 1GB)
If your numbers are low and you dont ever run intensive apps.... try turning off the pagefile completely
Oh really? My PC is mainly used for Media Center (hence the need for RAM) internet and Word applications.
I have a partition on my 220gig hard drive (160C/60D). C is for hardware, windows files and media center, D is for documents, pictures and music.
Right now I have 355MB page file and for physical memory it says 2.09gig total, 1.60 gig available and .56 gig system cache. Any suggestions on how to optimize this?
