My teacher in my Ethics in Science class had us reading most of the current literature on global warming (both for and against it). I was like you and thought that many scientists disagreed with it and that really isn't the case. Most of the disagreement is with the models and the degree of the effect. The vast majority of scientists (especially the top ones in their field) agree that global warming is real, it is a threat, and it is caused by human pollution.
Most scientists have one goal: getting their name in the paper.
