i got in and looked at the threads it was controlling, and it had one thread that was stealing about 90% of my cpu power...i suspended that thread and i have no issues, i tried to get the name of the thread to post but it dissapeared once i suspended it....any idea why that one thread would want to reserve 90%+ of my resources?
svchost is run seperately as needed to host services and programs. killing one should not affect the others (i.e. the others running vital Windows services)
what you want to find out is what's running under the one that is screwing the system. can you grab a screenshot of the threads?
