Personal value is more important than any $$ figure, in my opinion. I can relate with your attachment to the prelude. Besides, you can always pull the motor if you decide to junk the car.

Since this is your "tinker-toy", do some research on the B18C and determine a budget & goal. A B20 crank isn't worth the trouble, IMO. You should be able to rebuild the engine yourself for less than a short block would cost. If your looking for more displacement, an LS crank can be used with LS rods, and any vtec pistons.

Other possibilities - B16, Non-Vtec B18, B20, etc.

Check the classified section here, and on HT. Weigh all options, and choose whatever fits your needs best.

If indeed you did spin a bearing, the crank is trash. Don't attempt to turn, or re-grind it unless this is a true budget build and you are prepared to deal with bearing failure again.
