Depends on a lot of things, age of the engine, how it was tuned, how well the setup was put together, how he drives, etc.
But your friend is right in that if I wanted to make 100% sure I don't accidentally blow my engine I wouldn't put a turbo on it.
hes using an Hondata to tune with, the B16 was swapped a year ago. roughly has 60K miles. it doesn't make sense cause my uncle had an greddy kit with the eManage for almost 4 years and the only thing he ever changed was the head gasket. so thats why i didn't believe that B16's are not good engines to turbo, even at low boost.
