gay rights isn't even about the right to plunge another dude's ass. It's about them getting the same benefits and acknowledgments as a man and wife. Also, in the case of a divorce, child custody would be decided no differently. Whoever the more fit parent is. In the US legal system it tends to be the mother, but that isn't always the case.
Thanks man... I'm gay and I by no means, whatsoever, want to get married. I do think it's hippocritical to say that drive through weddings and a >50% divorce rate are considered upholding the sanctity of marriage... I just want the same right as everyone else to be able to get all the shit when i get tired of my other half and have him knocked off... We don't deserve equal human rights, but a man and a woman can live with each other for a period of time and be considered "commonlaw", but i guess that varies from state to state? anyway, hope you get the point... Also, what's the deal with people getting all over each other in public, but if two people of the same sex do it, it incites hate crimes and shit? (I think PDA is trashy in most cases, gay or str8)
