Yes but he easily had two more years in europe before his eyes even looked at the N Americas or S America. His army was also feeling the pains of a long standing war before we entered with morale dropping and supplies hurting a bit due to the greed of the higher commanders.
So whether he could have sustained another two to three years and then another overseas battle in the Americas is very questionable.
