it's called campaigning. no politician is going to admit defeat before an election, even when the odds are stacked against them. how are fawk they lying or covering things up when they say something like "i'm confident that we will prevail"? :screwy: the democrats were saying the same things, so what if they had lost? then they'd be the liars who try to cover things up?
