Sorry dude, the B20A is a hunk of crap. They have a really nasty habit of excessive ring wear, mosty due to the horrible loading issues with a 1.51 (1.49 in the B21) R/S ratio.
Any engine can be made to perform (the Mazda F2 comes to mind,) but some should just be left alone.
Sorry, but your confuseing the b20a with the b21a. The reason the b21a burns oil isn't because of the R/S its because of the FRM sleeves. Honda used the wrong kind of rings with the FRM sleeves. The rings were to soft so the wore out quickly.
The b20a and b21a have a lot of over lap. You can make pretty decent gains with cam gear alone.
I got into the high 15's with just cam gears and a gutted cat.
