Like Schmoo was saying the H22 can handle boost just as well as the B series with a good tune, most people make 300hp on the stock block at the minimum before any kind of internal work needs to be done. What turbo you use to get there is your choice and it when and how you want the power will be how you decide. You should NOT boost your motor right now, because your are grossly misinformed on the subject, so first stop for you should be Honda-tech forced iduction and read the the newb sections, and homemadeturbo.com will provide you with some more knowledge and how to build a kit thats both cheap and effective. The rest of you fuckers need to pull your heads out of asses and stop pulling information from your ass
Thanks for setting these clowns straight. Every forum I post on somebody that does'nt know ish about boosted H22s always has a damned misinformed opinion. Most of these boost hating individuals who talk like that cannot grasp the concept to do it correctly and almost always forget about the most important aspect of ANY modded car....the tunnig! You must spend some cash on dyno tunning! There are ways to lower compression to a safer level without changing the internals like head gaskets, etc. I mean why would a company like Turbonetics put together a kit if it did not work safely on stock internals? I even talked directly with them @ SEMA IAS and one of the techs assured me that I would not have a problem. The problems arise when doofuses buy a boost controller and start f'ing with the knobs. They think more boost=more power...not true. Too much of anything is no good.
