Default 95 Integra LS Axle question

Hi all,

I wrote about a problem with the car last month and got some good advise. Here is the thread[click here]

The problem was the clutch. Now I'm putting it back together and have another problem. I was using my Haynes manul (I know, I know but it's all I had). Anyway I made a mistake when removing the axles. I think I got the right one out and in OK.

The left (driver's side) is another story. The manual didn't say not to pull on the hub end of the axle. I did. I tried to pry and beat and pull to get it out. I finally took the bracket that attaches to the back of the engine loose and took the whole assembly out.

I put the axle back in and when I put the hub back in the axle apperars to be too long. I can't get the hub all the way installed. I read in another thread [click here] that you will seperate the carrier bearing if you pull on the axle. I must have done that.

Now, how can I get it back together? Also according to that thread, the axle will seperate. Is that true? If I buy a replacement axle will I get the whole thing or only part of it? Any ideas? Any?
