Default Getting my first car

Hey everyone, i will be getting my first car in a couple weeks. My limit is $11k.

I was wondering what type of car i should get. Im looking for a nice fast car but also reliable. My mom also doesnt want it to be a lower year then 2000.

Any suggestions?

Id suggest buying a 6th gen accord (98-02) or a 2000+ civic. Both are great on gas mileage and did extremely well in safety testing. The downside is they wont really provide the speed youre looking for unless you put money into it. If youre looking for decent speed and relability out of the box, a late 90s gsr would also be a good choice, but expect to spend more here due to availability and demand.

Prob should stay away from something fast, since this will be your 1st car.
That is another thing we don't need,an inexperienced driver in a quick/fast car.
