Oh yeah...why are you selling the 2000 Si...buying the new one?
As he said it depends. With my Azenis I usually get a season and a 1/2 with mine but that also includes driving to and from events on them. Probably sees about 10,000 miles and about 60 autocrosses. But I constantly keep a check on the tire tread depth and always put the ones with more tread on the fronts. Also depends on your camber, your driving style, amount of toe front and rear, and how heavy your car is.

My Hoosiers have only seen 3 events this year so they are practically brand new

Selling the Si so I can get cracking on a new car and maybe buy a tow vehicle and trailer. I have a 1991 Civic Si which has not lost an autocross since April That's 25 out of 27 autocrosses I believe it has won. I'm thinking about trying a 1992-1995 Civic Si next year.

Just curious, are you allowed to run no air filter?

Ok...that's good enough for me...I just want at least a season out of one set of tires. On my civic, which is fairly lightweight I don't think I'll wear them out any quicker than that.

Why is autocross the best form of competition ever? Because it's the one that is actually meant to be for fun.

Depends on the class. And why can't you ever start your own thread and had to jack someone else's?

My 1991 Civic Si weighs about 2080lbs. Just installed Azenis back in May and they are down to about 4mm. Realize though I run a little bit of toe-out and lots of negative camber.

You want me to start a thread asking whether or not no air filter is legal when he just asked a question about an air filter?

Anybody know which is lighter? The steel wheels on my Civic now...or the alloy rims for the 00 Si? :hsdunno: I would go outside and take a wheel off and feel the difference, but it's raining. I'd like to put the Azenis on the lighter wheel.

I believe the 00 Si wheels are lighter by about 4-5lbs if I remember right. Are they both the same size?

The 00 Si wheels are about 14-15lbs. The steel wheels are around 18lbs.

Yep same size. 15x6. The weights you gave me are similar to what somebody on another forum said also, so it sounds like you are right. Thanks! Now I just wait till Oct. 8 for my next autocross...can't come soon enough.

You can always find another region close by.

There are something like 9 different SCCA regions within a 2 hour drive for me. 9 more non-SCCA, and about 10 more if I travel more than 2 hours.
