Questions...
for all of you autocross guys. say if i wanted to get into that scene what steps would i have to take in order to be able to do it. and does anyone have any information about autocross in florida?
1st step it to attend. there isn't much required. car should be in good shape, as in nothing leaking or loose or broke. then you pay your fees borrow a helmet (usually the event organizers have several), listen to what they have to say and then ask at the sign up desk for help.
then you will learn how poor of a driver you really are :chuckles:

Read as much about the 101 guide because it really helps. CivicSiRacer has a really great one. I don't have the link but I'm sure he'll post it if you want it. Go to your region's website or SCCA (scca.com) and find out what class you are. If there is a forum try introducing yourself to some of the event organizers for they tend to be a great help, especially the first time around, and basically read the 101 guide over and over and over until you got the jist of the main points and you should be ready to go. Have fun dude!

1st step is just simply going, most of the more experienced or prodrivers will let you set shotgun if asked! Nothing like a free lesson! 2nd, take your car out! Biggest mistake most guys do is start dumping money into needless mods. Go out and just have fun!
