I know... but right now its the car. This was my third season, and I'm slower now than I was in STS at the beginning of last year (and barely keeping up with my h-stock times).

My d15z1 is crapping out, and it just doesn't make sense to put in another underpowered motor with a terrible transmission after all the other work I've done. I've put enough money into this car, and I'm not going to try and take on SM. I think i'm just gonna talk to the RMD tech chief, swap in a z6, and hope for the best.

How do you know that you are slower now? Maybe your competitors are getting faster?

i do. the car is slower, it runs terribly, the clutch slips, it blows smoke... you get it. I'm not making the power I used to, and considering the most I ever had was ~70 or so whp, I'm getting pretty far down there. Basically, my engine is dying, and I'm not willing to put another equally shitty motor in. I'll just talk to my tech chief and see what he has to say... Seeing as I've been illegally classing myself since mid-summer '03, I don't think it will be too big a deal.

:edit: I'm beginning to think theres nothing legal I can do with my car. I'll probably have to just continue mis-classing it and hope i never win.
If Civic VX is on the Same line as The Civic SI in the SP Classing then you can do what you are asking.

well, technically, I'm already illegal for sts because of my interior. I was considering just making the switch to DSP if I can legally class myself that way.
